KX-TES824 compatibility questions

Hello,

I'm new to the Panasonic phone system world (all my previous experience is with Norstar ICS systems). I have recently inherited a KX-TES824 system that came from an office in Taiwan. The menus on the phone LCD display are in English. The firmware version is Y911AG070731(TW).

I would like to install it in one of my branch offices in the US, and I have a few questions:

1) What are the differences between the KX-TES824 and KX-TA824 systems? I know that the TES models are sold in Europe and Asia. Are there any compatibility problems that I may run into? Are there differences in voltage levels, signaling tones, etc?

2) Is the KX-TA82492 voicemail expansion card compatible with this system, or do I have to purchase a KX-TE82492?

3) Is the standard Panasonic programming software compatible?

4) Anything else that I should be aware of?

Thanks for any information and advise that you can offer.

there are a few differences, first the voltage is 220v so check what it is before plugging in.

the prog tool has to be for the tes, the ring in UK is double external call single ring is internal call. can be changed in programing.

I don't know about VM, may need euro card, but I would not use it anyway, it is not a great unit, an answering machine would be better

The expandsion cards are different as well, out last 8 extension1 17-24 are slt only

don't count on it working and you won't get any support in the usa if you import that unit!
