Question Wireless for use with KX-TDA200

We have a KX-TDA 200 system amd we currently have and use the wireless phones (KX-TD7680) and we have 6 cells installed throughout our facility. The coverage is okay at best so I would like possibly integrate a wifi/ip wireless system with this pbx somehow. because I could get better coverage. I don't mind losing the pbx functionality we currently have with the phones, just need for basic calls. Any ideas on how or if this can be done?

Thanks!!

you have 2 options as i see it
1. using 2 channel Cell stations (cells with 2 areils )you can use dect these connect to a digital extension then using repeters these are half the price of a cell station and only require power you can extend the range of the cell station.

2. yes you can use a wireless/ip system and using annalogue extensions as telephone lines you could extend the range however you would loose some funtions of the system + the cost of same. it would be worth it to look at repeters to fill the gaps on your site

Here in the UK, Panasonic are about to Launch IP-DECT. It has successfully passed field trial and kit should be available from Jan 2010.

The handsets will be DECT to the base station. The base station is IP to the PBX. Perhaps this will allow you to keep existing handsets and deploy additional base stations easier.

I believe the IP DECT base stations will be 8 channels.

Personally, I would choose rivet's option 1 as this will give you greater coverage at the cheapest price.

Quite right. For some reason I read the opening post as TDE.
