KX-TEA308E and small office

Hello

I need some help.

I need to configure system to work like that :

We have 3 lines coming in. All phone calls coming first to ext 1 (reception line). Then reception phone busy or nobody answers all 3 office line phones starts ringing ( instantly then reception line busy and after 20sec then no one answers reception line).

Fax line ext. do not need to ring only receive fax and be able to send fax on outside line 3 .

Credit card line needs to have straight access to outside line 3. (as far I understand credit card machine have some kind of modem inside for dialing out.)

================================================== ============
How to setup line hunting inside ?
How to setup fax (t0 stop it interfering with calls)
How to setup credit card machine through the system to allow to dial out
================================================== ============

I have Caller ID card and 2 Channel Voice Message Card with that system

Please help me to configure it in console.

Big thanks in advance

Vaiski,

No.1 you would program the incoming calls to ring in prog 411, day, 412 night mode and 413, for lunch mode (or in prog tool 3/co-2. incoming-outgoing - ringing for incoming calls...Note this is set up per line).

set ext 2,3,4 to 10 or 20 sec delay. you won't be able to have a busy/no answer fwd on reception to all 3 extensions, best thing is put a 10 sec delay to the other phones or have a second one come after 10 sec, and the rest at 20..

No.2 in the same prog section as above put the fax and credit card extensions with no ring. unless you have a dedicated fax number, you will have to answer the phones and if it is a fax transfer it to fax extension. other than that you would have to use disa and set up fax detection.

no. 3 the system can be set up to do hotline, at the extension dial 742 9 #, then 741# to turn on. also in prog 203 turn timer to 0.( progran tool -1. system-6.timers section marked start time- hot line)The credit card machine could be set to dial 9 first. If using hot line I would do it on the fax as well.

For caller id to work, make sure you turn it on all lines prog 900 or on the tool 11. caller id- 1.main section co settings, check the box caller id for the 3 lines

How to set BV on tea308

Hi again
I have kx-te82492ne 2 -channel voice card
How to configure system properly to be able use voice mail.
If nobody answers phones lets say it will automatically go to voice mail.
How to set it up all voice mail will go to the same place and all extensions could access it to check it.
Basically if call not answered it will go to BV so customer can leave a message.
1. I need to find out how to configure system.
2. How to record a greeting message
3. How to listen to messages
4. How to delete them or to do other things

Thank you in advance

that is one of the systems down fall, to get a call in to a mailbox on incoming call, the extension the mailbox is on, the line has to be set on a dil1:1 to that extension, which means that only that phone will ring on that line.
to be honest, if you only want the mailbox to answer calls that you missed and not a mailbox for all phones, give it back and buy a answering machine.

voice mail

What I trying to achieve is if phone not answered or busy in reception it will be transferred to one of the phones below or to all of them. If no one pickups a phone there it will go to voice mail.

All voice mail should go to one place so anyone can check it. or it will go to one of the phones voice mail all the time.

you can have it go to reception, fwd busy no answer to a second extension and that extension fwd to VM, it will go to the mailbox of the reception.

the best way is have it ring reception and the a delay ring to other extensions, including an answering machine extension set to answer after a few rings. the smv card is not very good in that situation.
