Call transfer delays. TD1232 & TVS120

I have a TVS120 connected to a TD1232 system. The TVS120 is running an auto attendant. The system seems to be working fine, but there is a delay when calls are tranferred from the TVS120 to the extension. The person at the extension will pick up the phone to answer, but the call won't be connected for a second or so.

This is a big annoyance for the customer because they usually quick answer the phone and greet the caller, then have to greet them again because the caller has not yet been connected.

Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing that delays the call transfer?

Do you get an announcement saying you have a call?
this could be turned off as a prompt, but will still leave a delay with the call being transfered.
in programming go to call transfer sequence and put a "d" on the end of the string, for extension transfer and operator transfer, this will tell the AA to release the call before it is answered, so when the customer answers the call it will be there straight away. beware it could affect any no answer service set up on the AA

So if I set it to FXD will I lose the No-Answer voicemail on the extensions? Or will the TD1232 kick it back to the TVS120 after no answer?

No not if the ext has busy/no answer fwd on it and the caller Is selecting a extension
But if the aa was taking back the call and offering options to leave a message or call operator
that would be affected

So once it gets to the extension and there is no answer then I would need to forward the call directly into that extension's mailbox?

I think I'm out of luck here because the extensions I'm using are Phantom. I have 3-6 extensions on a single phone. The AA sends the call to the extension and then retrieves it back for voicemail.

If I do a blind transfer to a Phantom extension, how would I be able to get it to forward into that extension's mailbox if there is no answer? If I have it forward to the first voicemail port will it drop into the correct box?
