Outgoing KX-TES824

Hi,

I'm new here. First I want say hello everyone!

I'm student and I'm doing some exercises on KX-TES824. It's quite new in my application and I have problems with some basic functions.

I'm programming it witch PC, using given software. PC is connected to KX-TES824 with USB. Software is working well.

I have plugged in only KX-TG7220PD(JACK 01) as a normal phone, and KX-MB783(JACK 02) as a fax.

External line is plugged into CO 01.

I don't know how set KX-TES824 using pc:
1) to able phone plugged into JACK 01 calling to external numbers
2) when someone is calling from external number, redirecting to the phone on JACK 01
3) when fax is incoming redirecting to FAX plugged into JACK 02.

It will be very nice to recive some advices!
Thank you for your attention!

Welcome. First of all to dial out you need to prgram the CO lines, in default they are all connected. Since you only have CO1 you need to disable 2-8. In default all the handsets should ring on i/c calls to the co. If you have a fax connected, I know in the UK you will need a disa card, which detects the CNG tones of a fax machine and redirects it to the fax ext. Hope this helps

First advice is fix your country of origin.

Ringing is programmed in the section marked 3.CO In our systems, the DISA trunk is also assigned in the same place. We can assign the FAX extension (put it at 106 for uniformity btw) and program the CNG to ring that extension under DISA.

Thank you very much for so helpful advices!
1) and 2) are working well. Tomorow I'll test the fax. I think i have a DISA card inside

What can I do to make faster, calling from telephone (plugged into JACK01) to the external number? In this moment, the connection dure very long... (about 10s)
Should I always put 9 before the external number? Is it possible to to set telephone on JACK01, always calling outside numbers?

Thank you very much! It's working well, but I can't find "idle line preference"...

Where I can find "idle line preference" in "Maintenance Console"?

Now, next question: how record OGM "Welcome in ... Please press "1" to talk, "2" to send a fax" and how set when the calling person press "1"--> connection to the telephone plugged into JACK01, when the calling person press "2"--> connection to fax, plugged into JACK06?

If your goal is to learn the system, is there any reason why you choose to not read the manual from cover to cover?

What happens if your instructor asks you how did you set it up, or to program a speed dial in location 47 for the local pizza parlor?

Are you going to ask him to wait while you go to the inernet and ask us?

RTFM All 4 of them.

I have only guide about programming via system phone...
I'm not waiting for complete solution.
It's nice to receive an advice- it shows direction for further seaching

I think I know how to do it. I will test on monday.
I don't have any instructor, I'm learning it for myself, just for fun in scientifc circle

I'm studing mechatronics, so unfurtunately don't have enough knowledge about telecomunication systems. But Wikipedia and this forum are very helpful.

Anywey thank you very much for all helpfull advices!
