Question OGM recording using MOH Port.

Hello there!

It's already known that you can record your OGM message in your PT (KX-T773), but the OGM doesn't sounds too great, actually it sounds pretty "noisy" when you use the computer speakers to playback the desired OGM music and try to record it into the PBX from the PT mic.

Browsing the internet, that there's a few ways to upload/record your OGM with much more quality... some of them require tech consoles others the NULL-CABLE, and so on... but there's one way that took my attention. Recording thru the MOH (Music on Hold Port).

Now that I've found a easier way to do so, I need some help on HOW TO DO it... honestly, I'm a PBX enthusiast (I don't do this for living), so I came here, wondering if someone could help me out in this task. If not asking too much a "guide for dummies" would be great!

Many thanks in advance!

Hello OBT,

Yes, my PT is a KX-T7730. So it means it's not possible to record the OGM thru the MOH port of my TES824 PBX. Do you know if there's any other way to record this without using technical apparel or the Null-Cable or it's just impossible?

Thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the link. I must say, this is the "wierdest" site I've seen on internet... it's pretty funny to browse around and see what they sell. I've liked their tagline:

We Specialize in Strange Telecom Stuff!"

Yet, I don't think that their products will solve my problem. Because I'm looking for something more DIY likely and it's not a real problem, so If i can't manage to increase quality of our OGM, I'll just keep the one we have.

Thanks.

if you buy the adapter you can upload your audio the standard way through the handset!

Thanks Sncsnc.

Well, couldn't find the adapter you've told me about (i guess, because I have no idea of how does it looks like for a start), but in the other hand, I found this great deal: World's Best Toilet Seat and Electronic Bider (I'm wondering, why the heck a telecom store would sell stuff like there).

I'll give up. I live in Brazil, and the cost + shipping + transit time, will make things "expensive"... here in Brazil, I've found a guy (from internet) that says he can record the OGM file directly to the PBX TES824, without losing quality. But he's asking for U$50.00 for this service.

So I'll just leave it the way it is. Thanks once again.
