KX-TEA308 caller ID

I have a KX-TEA308 with a new caller ID card installed (KX TE82494NE 3-Port Caller ID card).

I have two lines connected to the KX-TEA308, "work" (CO 1) and "home" (CO 2).

When someone dials my "work" line, the incoming caller ID is displayed. But if someone calls my "home" number, the phone (KX T7730) just displays "call on CO 2".

So caller ID works on one line (CO 1) but not the other (CO 2). My assumption was that the caller ID card would allow display of numbers for either line- am I missing a setting here? I have been through the manual and the settings on the KX-TEA308 console, but can't see anything wrong.

Thanks.

Swap the plugs for lines 1 & 2 and post back.

Carl

When you get done with that, you might check around option 900 and 913....YMMV

it will give you caller id on both lines. First check caller id settings No 11 on prog tool
make sure both co 1 and co 2 have check marks for caller id and both are set for fsk

try swapping the lines on the system and see if the house caller id is working

if you never had a caller id device on the house line, you may have to ring eircom on 1901 or 1800601701 if you have business lines to get it activated

thanks

thank you- that narrowed it down- I swapped the lines and still the same issue with no id on one of the lines. So spoke to phone company and they say the id wasn't working and they have re-enabled it. Thanks for your suggestion as not sure I would have worked this out- was sure it was a setting on the TEA 308
