KX-TEA308- cannot connect with the PBX
I am trying to connect my laptop to a KX-TEA308 for the first time, using the following setup:

- Windows XP
- using KX-TEA 308 maintenance console program
- Panasonic software came from: CD labelled "Product Documentation and PC Programming Software CD" version 3.0 which came with the system

However when I try to connect I get the following error message:

"cannot connect with the PBX of this firmware version or model type (01213507H)"

Does anyone know what I can do to solve this?

Sounds like the software cd that came with the system is wrong click on help and about
What does it say there
When you pluged in the USB did it install the driver ok

The driver tip helped as looks like the wrong driver was installed automatically. I have just gone back, uninstalled, and instead of allowing Windows to do it for me, I manually selected the correct driver. This seems to have solved it and now have access- thanks for the advice.
