ISDN program - 4 numbers (TDA30)

Hello,

I had a TDA-30 telephone system with installed one card for ISDN (one port), I think it's called BRI or something. I have been assigned 4 different numbers from my phone company - something like this: xxx xx 80, xxx xx 81,xxx xx 82,xxx xx 83. There is KX-7633 DPT connected to the TDA-30 and when I call the numbers, every one of them rings on the same telephone set. How I can connect a fax for example to answer on the second number - xxx xx 81? So I want the number xxx xx 81, to be always answered by the fax. Where I should connect the fax machine and how to program the station to forward the xxx xx 81 to the fax?

I hope someone can help me with this.

If it is ISDN you assign the numbers in the co and incoming calls>ddi/did table enter last 4 digits of number and in ddi dest enter extension number.

your line provider could sends more or less numbers so you could put in the full number then remove first number untill you are left with 3 numbers, that should cover you
ddi day dist
e.g number xxxxx81 201
xxxx81 201
xxx81 201
xx81 201
x81 201

Thanks, I will try to do it that way, if I have understood right. I was trying to connect the fax machine directly to the 7633 DPT (there is extension socket on the back of the DPT).

Those incoming calls ddi/did are being programmed by PC or by DPT?

The fax needs a slt port, so off the back of one of the dpt will only work if on the first 4 ports on the system with a 4 core wire.

as snc said you can program of either pc or dpt

Well, I will try to program it by the DPT and if I can't manage it, I will connect a PC to the PBX. I would very much appreciate it if you can tell me how to program the separate number for the fax - step by step. I will let you know if I have any success by myself.

P.S. If I understood you right, I have to connect the fax machine to one of the four integrated in the PBX slots with a 4-wire cable ( like the one that I've used for the DPT connection).

You only need a 2 wire cable for fax (centre pins) for fax, but if connecting through a digital phone, the digital phone will have to be connected with a 4 core cable.

Do you have the pc software for the tda?

I will connect the fax then to one of the four integrated slots and will assign to it external number (given to me by the phone company). I 'm now trying to do this with the DPT.

I have to check if I have the software, but it is brand new PBX system and I think Panasonic will have included the software in the box.

I can program DID number and DID destination.
