If your KX-TEA 308 has ARS its not a small version of the KX-TA 824 Last edited by sncsnc : 05-01-2008 at 01:28 PM.

It does have ARS, infact it's got quite a lot of useful features and is by no means limited. That said I think it's only about $450-500 worth so I guess it's a small basic pbx by many standards.

We need either a hunt group or call divert incase some of the lines are busy. The hunt group could only be set up on two numbers so we went for call divert. This allows us to divert to our vonage line aswell which hunt group would not do. Obviously difference being hunt group would do just that, hunt, but this suits our needs. BT told us the following. "Previous, on our standard lines, we would charge a fee per extra service such as answer phone or call divert, etc. However with our new feature lines, you pay one small set fee, and have the use of any (within reason) service you require". This isn't strictly correct as hunt groups are still extra. I think it's a load of bull to make it sound like we a re getting more for less!

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Okay guys I am about to give up on this as I don't think it's possible... which I would find odd. Here is what I have: ARS turned on for all 3 lines. Route 1 = Line 3 (vonage line. No prefix no. required) Route 2 = Line 2 (PSTN line. Requires user to dial 9 for outside access) Route 3 = Line 1 (PSTN line. Requires user to dial 9 for outside access) I have Line 2 & 3 only set to 'add number 9' in front of the dialed number. We do not require users to use certain lines for certain numbers i.e. international. We just require users to dial out on Lines in order 3,2,1. Therefore, I probably wrongly assumed that I can just leave the number selection number on the routes blank and it will just use the lines in order as above and the only difference is that it will prefix lines 2,1 will the number 9 will will allow outside access. This however doesn't work. The manual isn't much help or rather it doesn't help a lot. So, before I just give up, any ideas about this? Thanks Danny

Location: Kilkenny Rep Power: 1 ![]() | The ARS works by the number dialed and not the line it is on, so unless you set if up that certain calls i.e. international calls go out on line 3 , set it to not dial 9. the ARS on the kxtes 308 is very basic. Other than that remove line 3 from ARS and when lines 1 &2 are busy enter line 3 access code (83) and then you know not to dial 9. For this to work fully, you would have to upgrade to a Kxtda 30
