Hook flash disconnecting the call on KX-TD816E

I have a KX-TD816E in the UK connected to SLT's.

I have gone through the manual and found that in order to place a call on hold for example using and SLT you simply press the flash key. However when I do this from the called extension, the calling extension get disconnected (I hear the disconnected tone) but the holding extension gets a dialtone.

I need to use the flash key for conference calls.

I have not changed the default parameters.

I am hoping someone can give some pointers.

Many thanks.

Go through the manual again. Pay particular attention to the 990 settings flash means disconnect. In our version, you change the bits in the fields.

You should be pressing Recall on the SLT to hold the call.

You should not be pressing the flash key or hookswitch.

Default UK settings should work fine - I have only ever needed to change the defaults when using some DECT phones (Philips ones in particular) and I have worked on 100's of KXTD's.

just proves that our boxes are different our td's do not come out of the box with EFA (flash on a c.o.) enabled and it must be turned on in extended programing and a flash 6 is co line hookflash on a slt here. and a flash for .06ms from a slt puts the call on hold.and I think carl
and I both have 300 or more out there between us as well !!
