TDA 200 PRI - Outbound Caller ID Problem

I have a TDA200 with a PRI Card and I am connected to XO communications via a PRI line under what they call an NI2 connection. (I am a bit of a novice with the phone terminology) - what I am trying to do is manipulate the outbound Caller ID from my company so that we broadcast different numbers depending on who in the company makes the call - As I understand, when making an outbound call the TDA grabs one of the open 23 ports of the pri - but how does it know what phone number to broadcast to people when they look at their caller ID - right now all of the 23 ports are broadcasting our main number -

Now I have been told both by my Panasonic vendor and XO Communication that we can manipulate this number using the CLIP function inside the panasonic - I have review this and all of the changes I make seem to have no effect on the displayed number - I have called XO and they tell me that I have an NI2 connection which will receive data from my phone system and allow for different number to be used - I am confused -

What I am asking - is there some switches in the software that I am missing or changes that have to be made so that the CLIP function will work? or is this a problem with XO and the NI2 configuration?

Thanks in advance for any help -

the qsig is not turned on in my phone system - I have the settings for the pri set to CO - not qsig - or are you talking about the vendor - they keep saying NI2 - what is that ? I believe I have all of the settings correct - I will keep trying - I just want to make sure it is not the tda that is causing the problem - what should I tell my vendor to check on their end to make sure this works - is there a lingo that I should say to them?

thanks for the response -

the provider should be able to tell you if they are receiving the clid info and if you are a certified dealer in the states since your profile shows thats were you are call tech support and get in the queue and ask them
what a NI2 is and tell them your settings on the pri and they'll walk you
through.....

If you go into the utility and qsig trace you will see your call going out. Look for the calling number and see if you number id there. If it is then the phone company is blocking you. With that trace you can prove it to them.

in extension settings, option 1 tab, there's a setting for CLIP ID. put whatever number you want in there for whatever extn.

In the tab Option 3, theres a setting called CLIP ON EXTN/CO. sounds like yours is set to CO, this will use the 'subscriber number' which is in the port settings of the pri card. If you change this from 'CO' to 'Extension', it should use the number you've put in CLIP ID.

try that
