i was previously using the KX-TEM824 with the KX-TE Maintenance Console on WinXP. i've shifted over to Vista Ultimate and would like to know if there's a vista compatible version for the KX-TE Maintenance Console or is the one for WinXP compatible? thanks in advance

hi mowdie, thanks for your response. by programming if you mean numbering plan, door opener settings etc., then i already set that up when i bought the system 18 months ago. i have the settings backed up in several places just in case there's a problem i recently added a 16th extension and would like to update my PABX system accordingly. my old laptop (which ran XP and connected to my PABX via USB using the KX-TE Maintenance Console) had hardware problems so i replaced it with a new one that's running vista ulti.

i checked the link you provided but was unable to locate my system in the list: KX-TEM824

i googled for it before i posted here but couldn't find a support site for this model, i have the KX-TE Maintenance Console software on the CD that came with my PABX but as i mentioned already, i don't know if it's compatible with vista, i would prefer a compatible version if one is available, or i'd like to get confirmation from someone who has used it on vista and would like their feedback. thanks

Now here's a question. Why would you ask a question like this and waste message space instead of just trying it? You have the original CD, just install the application. If it works you will have saved a lot of time. If it doesn't, right click on the icon and change the compatibility mode and it might work.

My HP Vista laptop works for the TA824 but not for the TDA-50. It won't recognize any of Pana's USB drivers yet.

the laptop is for a family member, they insisted that i should only install software i know to be compatible, hence the hesitation to give it a go. thanks for your suggestions though, i'll check with them and try to run it in winXP compatibility mode, if it worked for your TA, it might for my TES system. cheers
