Convert PRIs from FAS to NFAS

I currently have a 816 system, and I am wondering if you can install the DISA without installing the voicemail card.

Also, Can I transfer incoming calls to outside CO Lines?

Lastly, how does the whole parking calls work? Are the people on hold? Are my lines supposed to be free to park more calls? how many can I park?

If your refering to the KX-TD 191 card that's only for the TD 1232.
To my knowledge there never has been a DISA card for the TD 8-16.
As for the voice mail card I do not know what your refering to.
All the voice mail systems are seperate units.
Even with voice mail your not going to have direct inward system access, (DISA)
As for transfering a call to an outside CO line, yes, you can do that.
When a call is parked it's automaticly on hold, there are ten parking spaces.
When a call is parked make a page for that person to pick-up a call on 1, 2, 3 or what ever.
Don't confuse these with CO lines they have do dial a park pick-up code then the
parking space # If your going to park calls you should put a one-touch button for the park pick-up code on all the phones and then just press that button and the parking space #.
If your using all "2500" sets or SLT sets, ( as maybe in a hotel) which I doubt with an 8-16
but then everything is done through codes.
Just out of curiosity, why do you want DISA?
do you have a # of employees working from home?

Sorry, I forgot your last question.
Once a call is parked or on hold that CO line is tied up.
Once a CO line is in use, it's IN USE regardless whether someone is in the A/A or a mailbox
or on hold.

I have 5 stores, all in different parts of the country, and I would like to be able to transfer calls between them. I am not sure if this is possible. I do not have the system at the other stores though. I was not sure if the DISA (which the specs say is available for this model) would help me with this.

BTW, How are you supposed to use 10 parking spaces if you only have 4 or 8 lines coming in?

6.0 when will it be available?

Are you sure you don't have a KX-TD 1232 in basic configuration?
This would be set up for 8X16 but expandable.
The DISA card isn't for transfering calls but more for allowing an outside caller access to your system to make calls through your system remotely.
Most of us discourage the use of DISA if at all posible.
The 10 parking spaces are just the amount allowed.
Obviously if you only have 4 or 6 lines that's the max that could be parked on that system.
Parking is basicly only used where there is a live attendant althgough anybody on a call
actually could park the call.
You should look into Centrex or maybe even VOIP to transfer between stores.
This way once the call is transferred it's out of your switch and that CO line is available.
If you trans. it through your switch your paying the LD and it's tieing up a CO line.
