KX-TDA600 & Hotdesking

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here, so hello

The company I work for have recently upgraded from a Pana KX-TDA100 to the KX-TDA600 as they outgrew the 100 much faster than expected.

The 600 is working fine but due to the rate we are expanding we are running out of desks to seat people and are converting some of the existing

desks to hotdesks.

We will have 3 desks between 7 people, 2 of the people have DDI numbers which i have renamed to Hotdesk 1 and Hotdesk 2, inbound calls to the

numbers will ring at the desk for 3 rings and if not answered then bounce to reception.

What i would like to to happen and this is hopefully where you will be able to help is to have the phones at the desks connected but be able to have

the users log on to the phone when they are in the office and have their DDI routed to them but set it to go straight to reception if they are not

logged on.

The other option would be to set up DDI's for the people and then forward them all to reception who could then transfer to whichever desk they are

sat at. Is it possible to set a FWD via the programming tool without connecting a handset to set the FWD.

Is this type of setup possible on the TDA600? The only time i have done it previously was years ago on a Lucent Definity.

Any other ideas\suggestions welcomed.

I'm new to PBX's as you can probably tell but now I have been given the task of maintaining and programming it it's time to learn again I am

going to be going on the Installation and Maintainence course in the next couple of months at Pana UK.

Cheers,

Jon.

Hotdesking for TDA is called "Walking extension", check that out. For routing the call if not available, try to set in "intercept destination".
