Greetings. Our system is a few years old and we want to change a couple of features on it and don't know how. 1) We want to use a recorded message for our our Hold Music. Do we need to record something to disc and plug in something like an IPod to play it or is there a feature internally we can download to? 2) How do you change the day time menu to be automatic answer with no rings on busy days when we don't have enough staff - this happens about a dozen times a year. I suppose we could rerecord the night menu and manually do that but was hoping to have another option. All help is appreciated.

Send a message via ICQ to ShawnC
just plug in a source for music on hold by default its all set up.
pgm 408 set it to ext 165 and then when it gets busy do a intercom 781
at ext 101 and calls will be answered right away then you set up
a custom dialing menu on the voicemail system that suits your needs
when it slows down take it out of night mode intercom 780

1. The Music-on-hold feature requires a music source plugged into the cabinet. On the right side of the box, there's a pair of jacks for external page and music source. You take a music player, or radio and plug it into the jack, walk to any phone and press "1" and you should hear music

2. The Panasonic web site is down once again this weekend, but the -3 may have had a "Lunch" mode. You can dial it by the782 or 783# codes. You need to see if you have programming options 457,458, and 620. If you don't, then it wasn't part of -3. I know it's part of -5 but that won't help you much....

just having a day greeting and having intercept routing may be what you need during the day you can strech that timer
out once things slow down think lunch mode and vm pbx control is -4 and above
