Hi there
Please could someone tell me where i hae gone wrong.
I have recorded the comp greeting and when you phone the vps it prales the recorded message and then playes the pre recorded message aswell.. how do i stop this?

I have also recorded the department dialing menu.
How do i get this to be played after the comp greeting?

Thank you.

look in list of modifiable prompts and find the prompt you want
to shut off and then do it in mailbox 998 and don't use dept dialing
menu use custom service one!!set all to user prompts one

You have to shut off the prompt which is by default enable.for that go for these steps
1. dial the Extension number of the VPS
2.press #6star 998
3. enter password by default 1234
4. Dial 5 and then go for the shut off the prompt generally it may be Welcome to panasonic vps system
After shut off it you have to record then message again
It is solution for your problem
but my suggestions is to use custom service,it will increase the efficiency of the system.

box 998 does not have a password by default
in port service day you should use custom service 1 with custom greeting
one and anywhere it asks put in user prompt one cos setting etc.

If a different night menu is required make it easy make it custom service two custom greeting two still user prompt one

take all extensions and forward busy /no answer to lead voicemail ext.

Smile the way i do custom dialing menu

first anywhere you are asked in programing for prompt type select user 1

I rerecord good morning ,good afternoon, good evening prompts in the
customers voice . welcome to the voice processing system
becomes "you have reached the xyz..... ."

please wait a moment becomes "please hold whilst I try that extension"

then custom dialing menu one becomes if you know your parties extension
please dial it now or press one of the following keys.....

for sales press one
for admin press two
for our company directory press 3
etc.

what normally suits a lot of installs is to have the voicemail pick up
after 5 rings and this one above mode can satisfy both day and night

all phones in the system are call forward busy/no answer to voicemail

PS i don't think the american version even gives you an option
to record a company greeting but maybe i don't have a tvs50 set up shop @ the moment
