DSS Console

Any idea how to use this? I've hooked it up to the KSU but beyond that I'm not really sure. Thanks. Thomas

Actually, I'm not sure if I even know what "paired" means. I have 3 extensions currently hooked up. I assume I should just plug the console into the next extension port on the KSU. I believe the model number of the DSS console is KX-T61640.

Also, do you have any idea where I can get cheap system phones, like the KX-T7000 series? I think what I currently have are KX-T616 series. They really need new handsets, and rather than spending money on that it might be better just to buy new phones. The ones I have are old!

Yes, the system I have is KX-T61610

don't assume anything paired means what ext on the panasonic system that you are going to use the DSS/BLF with. You need to start reading the install manual hint:data Field 03 DSS Assignments . www.usedphones.com has what you need

I have the manuals, and I've tried to follow the directions, but they don't seem to work. Maybe I'm missing something? I don't really want to call someone from Panasonic as the cost of just having them come out here will probably be more than I paid for the system. I'll try looking at the manuals again. -t

you have to have a overlay for the phone if you are not used to the keystrokes ( you may be able to find a copy of it in the manual and blow it up) .programing is done from jack one with the switch under the door of the phone system in the programing position.
