Answering Machine

If I hook up a standard answering machine to the KX-T616, will it work? How will it work? How many rings before it answers? Thanks.

Re:

Not sure about the panasonic...

Most Answering machines need 90 to 105 ringing voltage and should be placed between the System and the set....

So you would have Panasonic Analog Set (Equipment side) ---> Answering Maching ---> Telephone set.

Set the Answering Machines Ring Pickup to 4 or so...

You mean like plug the answering machine in separately from the KSU? I heard if you hook up an answering machine and a propriatary phone up to one extension you can use it like a mini-voicemail system.

I have a Vtech one. It's a 3 mailbox model, when the greeting plays, the caller can press *1, 2, or 3 for one of the mailboxes. So can I just hook it up to one of the connectors on the KSU that I would use to plug a phone into?
