Grab a USB to Serial adapter. Ebay has them, or try IOGear. The one I use is the GUC232A.

Deer SNC,

There are two ways to interpret this question. If I have a PC with a USB port and I want SMDR data from a TDA system, I would get a USB to serial adaptor, plug it into the USB port on my PC and plug the serial port into the PBX.

If the PBX was a distance from my PC, I'd either use a Moxie serial to ethernet adaptor, or a set of short-haul modems to a serial port/USB-serial adapter.

If I had the luxury of a local PC to the PBX, I'd capture the data from the serial port using phone logger and access it via the web.

If I was trying to print to a USB printer from the SMDR port in real time, I'd have to do some heavy research to see if there was a driver for Serial to USB that would make the printer behave.

Send a message via MSN to VViper
You cannot get any SMDR information easily out of the USB port, it will only come out of the RS232 port on the front. You can however use the USB to retreive TAPI information then write an application to get the SMDR from the TAPI stream.
