I think you missed the important bit:

Call for Pricing.....different software versions are available. Initially configured for 8 lines (telephone numbers) and 16 stations/extensions (telephone sets). Expandable with optional KX-TD170 (4-CO) Line Cards and KX-TD180 (8-EXT) Station Cards. Features include Call Transfer, Intercom, Music on Hold and much, much more. Call for details.

If I were to guess I think they want you to phone them if you want one of those.

its maybe true price, because that series Discontinue .
there are many costumer have that system but still have to upgrade. so if they want to expand to more Extension in now, they will need the Expand Card. so the price of the Card up to 100% - 200% more than last price. its happend when my Customer need to UpGrade their System

Is the guy thinking of selling PANASONIC INC?! Or maybe I should agree with sncsnc, the price will most likely include the building where the pabx is housed.
