Fingers crossed!!

Da Bears looked pretty good, although GB is very much a minor league version of what they have been.

How long before they take Farve out?

I think I read GB is the youngest team in the NFL...explains a lot about yesterday's performance. My Titans are the 2nd youngest and they looked just as sloppy. If the Jets hadn't missed 2 FG and a PAT, the score would have better refelected how much the Jets (not that good either) flat out PWND the Titans yesterday.

The season doesn't look good...Maybe I'll break out my old Bears stuff that I mothballed years ago...

There's hinting around the NFL that out of respect, GB will give Farve a rope long enough to hang himself then if he continues to not produce, for the franchise they will start their rookie backup. Judging how Brett pretty much bashed the play calls, and the teams execution of them, it won't be long.
Bears all the way here, but it is sad to see a qb like that go out like this.
It is amazing what fear for your job can do as a motivational tool, bout time Rex got some TD's.

I say thet sit him down in week 5 or 6. There is now way they can afford to allow him to start after that. Because he's Brett Farve they will let him try and pull out a win. It's to bad that he has to go out like that. I say Brett moves to another team next year, but what team is there?
Who is Brett Farve going to replace?
That just sounds crazy to even type that!

Bears' Shutout Means Free Furniture

AP Photo/ANDY MANIS

CHICAGO (AP) -- Kendall County furniture store owner and "huge Bears fan" Randy Gonigam got tired of players bragging about their defense, so he decided to put his money where their mouths are. Over Labor Day weekend, Gonigam's World Furniture Mall in Plano offered customers free furniture - up to $10,000 - if the Bears shut out the Green Bay Packers in their season opener. Four quarters, 206 customers and about $300,000 later, Gonigam is still a little shell-shocked.

"This is beyond our wildest dreams," he said.

But the fact that it was a long shot didn't keep him from insuring the store for up to $300,000 worth of furniture with a company that specializes in insuring prize reimbursements.

The Bears blanked the Packers 26-0 Sunday, ending Green Bay's 233-game scoring streak and giving Brett Favre the first shutout of his 16-year NFL career.

Gonigam got the idea to offer full refunds to customers who bought furniture over Labor Day after hearing Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher brag that the team would have the best defense in the NFL this year.

"As a Chicago sports fan, you get frustrated," he said. "I thought, 'Prove it.'"

Customer and expectant mother Kathleen Spayer, 40, of Sugar Grove went back into the store Monday to make sure her $5,000 master bedroom suite was really free.

"It's the luckiest year of my life," she said.

Plano is about 45 miles southwest of Chicago.
