I think the Red Sox will win. I will also add that if they do win that the fans will not act up as much when they won the pennant. Maybe the police will also use less force. I heard this morning that the mayor and police chief are thinking about not selling alcohol in the downtown area, Fennway Park.

I think that the sox will win it in 6, then Fenway will be destroyed in the subsequent rioting FORCING them to build a new ballpark.

BOSTON -- Alcohol will be sold at Boston bars during the World Series, afterall.

But Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and local bar owners have agreed to concessions to try to prevent rowdiness.

Police will be inside bars to stop overcrowding and overserving.
No long lines outside bars will be allowed.
There's a ban on television live shots inside the bars. Networks use the shots to get fan reactions to the game.

Friday's agreement covers bars near Fenway Park and in other areas of the city.

Menino met with 25 bar owners after suggesting a ban on liquor sales to prevent violence.

Menino was reacting to the death of Victoria Snelgrove. The Emerson College student was killed when police fired a pepper spray-loaded projectile into an unruly crowd after the Red Sox won the American League Championship Series on Wednesday night.

Menino said that he wants area colleges to submit plans of what school officials will do to help control the crowds during World Series games.

Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling expressed his sadness over Snelgrove's death. In a radio interview, Schilling said no Red Sox victory is worth such a tragedy.

"True Red Sox fans need to make sure we all grow up in the next several days," he said.
