chesapeake aint me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!

But since we are on the same topic.......Let me ask.................

If our leaders in Washington admitted that maybe their information was incorrect about WMD.........then was the invasion justified?????????

Is there proof that Saddam posed a threat to our lives???????????

I think we all KNOW the answer.........Washington admitted that information between the FBI & CIA was misleading.............

If thats the case then I see no reason why Bush and his terrorists should not be brought to trial for murder..........AND MURDER IS WHAT THEY COMMITTED...............

Take a good look at the expression of Little Georges face of the pictures taken when he was at the site of the WTC........emotionless!!!!!!!!

I have no comment cause Rix wants to keep it nice. I am a combat vet from the Vietnam conflict. Having served in Uncle Sam's canoe club. That said, I can relate to what is going on in Iraq now. Should we be there? That is a question that has to be answered by each in his own way. Please continue to pray for each and every one of our people in harms way. Not only in Iraq, but all over the world. It seems to me that all US personell have a target painted on them just asking for some terrorist or such to attack. Also, don't forget that Tues is veteran's day. Let's all not forget the ultimate sacrifice that some have given!!!

"Should we feel sorry for the servicemen & women who losing their lives due to the greed of the administration in washington????? "

This is why people like me hate people like you. No honor, respect or gratitude for the country you live in or the peolple who put their lives on the line to protect it. I can understand people disagreeing about the war but to say we should not feel sorry for the service men and women losing their life is one of the most dispicable things I have heard in a while.

I am going to close this thread now, as I see it is a very divided subject and could get out of hand.

I think we all have a lot of emotion/feeling associated with this subject and I bet most of us are deeply divided on this issue and we can leave it at that.

The intent of the orginal post was clear and was not meant to turn into a poltical debate. That was my fault in trying to plung deeper. I apologize for that.

Thanks
Rick

If I offended anybody with my comments, I offer my deep apoligies. As Rix said, this is a sensitive subject. And I am not groundstart.......

Lest we forget...

Lets take a step (ok...several) back and look at the ORGINAL meaning of Rix's post.

Regardless of if we find this or any war/conflict just or not...the point was, a Solider is STILL A HUMAN!

Often times we all forget to look at a person in uniform as human, we're not to the point of automatan's with no feeling running round the fields of the world blowing away anything that moves. (Although, to be fair, I have met a few humans who you could question).

Rix, you did a good thing posting those pics, you reminded me (especialy TODAY Veterans day) that there are PEOPLE of all nations, EVEN IRAQIS who are doing what comes naturally to HUMANS...

YES! We should mourn the loss of any who put their lives on the line to serve a higher cause than themselves. Whether a war is just or not in no way cheapens the lives or lessens the sacrifice that these brave souls have given.

Selflessness and tragedy are selflessness and tragedy no matter where they are found. It was just as tragic and noble for the German soldiers of WW II to give their lives for an ideal as it was for our soldiers. If anything the injustice of a warrior's leaders makes that warrior's sacrifice all the more tragic.
