My turn to go on vacation
Today (Thursday) is my last day until I return Tuesday the 22nd. Going to Denver to visit my mom for Mother's Day and she does not know I am coming. My brother is going to make sure she stays home.

It has been three years since I last saw her and ten years since my wife has seen her. Looking forward to it.

You all behave while I am gone.

friends have convinced me to go to Vegas in mid June. Tickets are booked so I guess I am comitted

As for Vegas, I think I'll just end up walking / bussing around just to see the sights. I'm not a gambler but will probably spend a fortune to see at least one show.

I am stopping in Vegas for one night on my way home. When I go to a casino (we have quite a few here on Indian Reservations) I take $20 and play the penny and nickle machines. When the $20 is gone, I am done.

If you don't gamble it is still fun to walk through a casino and watch the people that do. It is definitely a study of human nature. I was in Vegas a few years ago and watched a lady in front of a machine at the Luxor for a while. This was in a special area with high $$ slot machines. She was putting three $100 tokens at a time in as fast as she could. The wheels had not even finished spinning before she was loading three more tokens in. I figured in the time I watched her, she lost $20,000.

I went to Vegas for the Hagler/Hearns fight many years ago for 4 days.
I called this "My 4 day's in a daze trip." I had a blasty-blast!

I am heading to Alaska on May 15. I won't be back in the office until May 29. for this side of the pond, that is a nice break. I am taking my 80 year old Grandfather with me. This is going to be a GREAT trip.
