Location: Where the hell is Tiverton, Ontario (CANADA)?!?! Rep Power: 6 ![]() | Why limit it to the first one? I remember all of mine! CARS 1976 Oldsmobile Omega. 260 cu. in. V-8 engine. Nice car. It only had about 60,000 original miles on it when I slammed it into a parked car when I was 17. After that, I got a 1983 Chevette. Turned it over on the driver's side on some black ice about a week after I put it on the road. Took parts from the 1983 Chevette, put them on a 1986 Chevette. Drove it until I was 19. Had a stuck lifter, only ran on 3 cylinders half of the time. 1988 Chevrolet 1500 Scottsdale. 4.3L V-6, AT, 2wd. Replaced the engine in 2000, sold it before it rotted away. (Tons of rust) 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ. 4.0L Straight 6, 5-speed tranny, soft top, Sahara package. Dropped two driveshafts out of it before I realized the rear yoke had a chip out of it causing vibrations. Sold it for more than I bought it for. 1989 Ford Ranger. 4-cyl 5-spd. Rusty old piece of junk I got from a friend to drive after the Jeep went away and before I could buy the Civic. 1995 Honda Civic EX. 1.6L 4-cyl engine, 5-spd, all-around excellent car. Great on gas, had enough power to get out of its own way. 1987 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. Bought it for $1200 in NC, drove it to NJ, donated it to charity two months later 1991 Ford Mustang. 5.0L V-8, 5-Spd, 350HP, 13-second quarter mile car. Sold it due to the inability to get it legally inspected. 1999 Kia Sportage - 2.somethingL 4-cyl, 5-spd, 4wd. Good vehicle. Sold it because it started having some issues with the tranny and the AC compressor. Didn't care much for the look of it anyway. 2002 Ford Range Edge - 4.0L V6, 5-spdAT, 4WD, extended cab. Reliable, comfortable, useful. The best vehicle I've owned yet. And, no rust on this truck! Bikes 1983 Honda Shadow VT500C - bought it for $800, it came with a parts bike (1986 VT500C) After parting the other bike on eBay, I came out making $200. Sold the 1983 to a guy in Brooklyn for $600 about 3 years later. 1994 Honda Magna VF750C - Ride it every day that's over 50 degrees and has less than a 20% chance of rain. Wish I could get paid to ride all over the country. __________________ Here's to our wives and lovers --- May they never meet.

I bought a year before I turned 16 so I could rebuild the engine tranny get a paint job do the upolstery etc. I did everything myself and had fun learning how. The only thing I didn't replace were the tires. Had a blowout the 3rd day after I got my license, totaled the car. I still had my motorcycles so I wasn't stranded. Back in those days you could get your motorcycle license at 14 in Nevada.

My current vehicles are a 2000 Dodge Dakota SLT, bought new back then and currently has about 48,000 miles on it. And a PT Cruiser bought new in 2003 and it has 30,000 miles. I do not drive as much as I used to. The Ford Galaxy I mentioned in my last post had 150,000 miles that I put on it. __________________ Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup. Rep Power: 12 ![]() | Yeah, I have to admit my first car was given to me by my father a 1967 Pontiac Firebird w/a 326 engine. Gave it to me before I went into the Army in '79, he was the original owner. I put a supercharger on it and moved the shifter from the column to the floor (3 speed) had deep dish Kragers on the back and reagular up front. Changed it from single to dual exhaust. Man that car could move out. Had to sell it when I moved to Miami. I guess being an Air Force brat and givin a car like that at such a young age. I see where I have the NEED FOR SPEED ![]() __________________

Neighbors have the same car (same year too) but they bolted a supercharger on it and didn't bother to have it tuned properly. It now sits behind their house with 2 cylinders out, (probably valves or rings) been waiting for the day when they offer it to me cheap. Cars I've had... 62 Corvair - weird car, very different, easy to work on but broke a lot due to age and design. 66 Mustang - former drug dealer car picked up at a police auction with a blown engine (tossed a rod) dropped a 302 crate motor in it and went screaming around. The really cool thing about that car was the factory 4 speed, very difficult to come by these days. 65 Corvair - I got this one from my old man (I think he got the 62 with it as some sort of package deal) this one had a warmed over Chevy DZ302 mid mounted in the back seat area - with something over 350 horsepower and a 9000rpm redline combined with a curb weight of around 2600 pounds (with driver and toolbox) it was a REALLY fun car to drive, just too bad that the stock Corvair drive train had problems with spirited driving behind that engine. Very difficult car to drive without an instant adrenaline rush and naturally everybody wanted to race at red lights. 92 Ford Explorer - very reliable vehicle, converted it into an offroad truck a few years back and haven't had a lot of time to mess with it. 93 Ford Explorer - This one is still stock and has around 150,000 miles on it; I'm waiting for the transmission to puke but otherwise it has been a very good vehicle. 04 Lincoln LS Sport - The biggest disappointment to date, nice car with a lot of 'luxury' for the used price I paid but hasn't really stood the test of time. Hasn't left me stranded (yet) but I'm waiting, rumors around the internet are that I can expect a few more things to break after 40k. Cars I'm looking to buy. F250 / 350 or 2500 / 3500 Silverado / Sierra diesel; 4x4 with supercab (not crew cab) and 'short' bed. Difficult to find used because everyone out here drives crew cabs. Been finding more and more uses for a truck with towing and hauling capacity. 05 or later Cadillac CTS-V - to replace the LS simply because I want.
