very true Rachelle. Unfortunatly most of them are the ones who get the press and form the impressions in the eyes of others.

I have friends of all sorts of nationalities and religions. They all seem pretty normal to me but do have their lifestyles and opinions much like we do. If you took to heart the news items around the Olympic protests we are having up here from time-to-time one would think Vancouver is full of people who hate sports and love all of the homeless.

You have to take everything the media says with a large block of salt. I went to Toronto for a convention during the height of the SARS "epidemic" a few years ago. There were only a handful of cases in a hospital and they were contained. But the news would have you believe that people were dropping like flies on every street corner.

A third of the convention goers coming from the US cancelled and every manufacturer from the US that was going to display their wares cancelled. I had done my own research and determined there was no threat and had a great time.

Such extreme views being displayed will probably mean that the police have identified most of them to ensure that they cannot do any of the attrocities that they are threatening / supporting. Please keep identifying yourselves as extremists then we can set Big Brother to watching you.

Fanatics make good copy. They are exciting and entertaining. Only the most extreme make a lasting impression and that is what sells papers and draws in a television audience. That is what I meant, earlier, when I said that the media isn't in the business of informing.... they are in the business of entertainment. The few real journalist that are left are being silenced by the roar of the masses.... and uneducated masses they are.
