When in Sweden it is interesting to see the differences between news casts. Watching CNN, BBC news and the local Swedish news and you get three different perspectives on the same story. In that order they also seem to be exagerated or biased towards the countries they were reported from.

The KKK like to visit the state of Kentucky. I participated in an Anti-KKK ralley on one such visit. Within the Anti staging area, there were seveal people who wore masks and were clearly there to distract and encourage violence. They were not in the majority. They did not represent the sentament of the rally organizers. They did not represent me. They did pi$$ off the cops, the city officials, and the general populous. However, they were the ones that were plastered all over the local news, that night.

It is just that reason that I have to have independent confirmation of facts before I leap to a conclusion. There is always someone that wants to profit or spin. You can't believe what you read, see, or hear. You have to think critically, research on your own, and look into the motivations of those folks that are feeding you information. It is a shame that we would have to be so guarded. [RETORICAL] As Americans, haven't we proven enough that we are easy to mislead? What will it take for the blinders to be tossed aside forever????

Rachelle I am sorry to say I agree with everything you stated. I feel that this country is getting very lazy and just doesn't want to do what it takes verify anything they see or hear. I was raised by a USAF senior master seargant. He instilled in me a strong work ethic and above all honesty. I sure miss him. Too bad the parents of today don't seem to care what their kids do or say.
