I have a cat that rules the neighbor hood. Once sent a pit bull screaming to momma! Kinda just waded in and walked all over the dogs face. White Pit at first, but soon turned a bright red in the face. Funny, but that dog never left his back yard again.

The animal in charge is always changing. A woman up the street has a cat that used to be the neighborhood bully, all other cats and dogs backed down from it.

Then a new person moved in with a Doberman. No one told the dog that the cat was in charge and when they came face to face in the dog's backyard you could hear the fight all over the hood. Now the cat crosses the street when he sees that dog and will not go near it.

I have a German Shepherd that is the same way, no one told him the local tom cat was suppose to be in charge and when we walked through the yard he got a bit of a surprise. Have not seen him around since.
