INNUA leadership meeting

Anyone going to the INNUA leadership meeting in November? Our chapter leader can't make it so they asked if I would go in his place.

I arrive in Boston later in the evening on the Friday and leave at 4:15 in the afternoon on the Sunday so will poke about the city a little bit on the Sunday morning. Any recomendations? MIT was one destination but I don't know how much time I would need.

you can go check out Faneuil Hall and other historic sites around Boston, but they may not matter much if you are Canadian. Paul Rever's house is nearby. Lots of good seafood restaurants in that area!

That could be a good lunch on the Sunday. I have been told to go on the Duck tour. They drive you through the city then into the river to get an overview of it all. The drivers are all supposed to be in character (Pirates, etc...)

I know it is old, but I would be curious to poke my nose into Cheers just for the heck of it.

See, you have a plan. I never spent much time in Boston, so my big touring was a Sunday afternoon/early evening down by Faneuil Hall and seeing the Liberty Bell. Unfortunately, while walking around, I noticed that a certain man always kept ending up not far from me, and was always eager to to make eye contact. I guess in some situations that's not bad, but it gave me the creeps. Every time I'd think I'd given him the slip, he'd appear. I'd step into a bar or a shop thinking I'd lose him, and when I'd come out, I'd see him walking a little ways behind me again. Once, I didnt see him for awhile and thought he'd left, only to see him step out from between 2 buildings and smile at me. I was parked in a large multi level parking garge on the 5th floor and knew that going in there by myself was not a good idea; of course there were no cops around, so I waited until a good sized group of middle agers was heading into the garage and asked if I could walk with them, because of the creep. Luckily, they, too, were parked on the 5th floor. Once I got in my truck and locked the doors, I felt better, but as I drove out of the garage, guess who was waiting by the exit? He smiled and waved. Ruined my day in Boston; hope yours is better.

Yeah right. Or for a variance on dwatkins avatar: You make chicky scared.
You should have introduced yourselves instead of playing hide and seek with me all afternoon.

For a Sunday afternoon/evening it probably would be a lot more fun to check out a couple of the pool halls. There's a couple upstairs over restaurants and that's a good place to hang out with some of the MIT kids for a little "brew 'n' cue" activity. Maybe I can dig up the names/locations.

I have to be at the airport by ~2 so will only have the morning and a small part of the afternoon.

If things don't happen after the planned supper on Saturday I may end up out at one of the brew 'n' cue places for a few hours.
