Angry 94-Year-Old Blind Man Beaten By Intruder

** Find the a$$hat that did this and kill him! Someone knows who did this. WTF is wrong with people that you have to beatup a 94 year old man who is BLIND! Slag find this person...**

VAN NUYS, Calif. -- A 94-year-old blind man was taken to a hospital Tuesday after being beaten by an intruder who broke into his Van Nuys home, authorities said.

The break-in occurred sometime between 9 a.m. and noon at a home in the 13900 block of Wyandotte Street, a block away from Sherman Way, according to Officer Sara Faden of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The man was sleeping when the man approached and demanded money, Officer April Harding said. When the victim didn't respond, the suspect threw him to the floor. He then ransacked the house and fled, she said.

The victim's wife returned home about 12:30 p.m. and found her husband unconscious on the floor.

The man, whose name was not released, was treated at a hospital for a facial cut, police said.

Harding said detectives still have not determined what was taken from the home.

They mentioned his name on the radio this morning but I forgot what it is.

This sort of stuff has been going on around the Valley / Foothill area for awhile now, I can only hope that they pay me a visit someday when I'm home, of course then everyone on here will be reading about me.

I often wonder how they pick their targets; over the last few months I've had a few visitors to my door who claim to be trying to sell stuff but seem more interested in other things around my property than they are in selling product and for the most part they don't fit the neighborhood very well. Oddly since one of them came upon me watching TV in my garage while cleaning one of my shotguns this group has been skipping my house.

Reminds me of a time a few years ago when I was at a friend's house and we were just sitting in the living room BS'ing. It had gotten dark and the only light we had turned on was the kitchen light so we could find the beer.

We heard someone fiddling with the front door trying to get in. My friend went over and got his 12 gauge pump action shotgun, stood by the door and pumped it once. Those of you that have one know this makes a very loud, distinctive noise on a quiet night.

Suddenly we heard feet leaving very rapidly. Still makes me grin when I think about it.
