I'm surprised the homeless didn't find this place. That is, before Rudy had them all killed and dumped into the East River.

The newer MRE's aren't too bad. Some of them are downright tasty, like the Chicken with Salsa, Pork with Rice in Barbeque Sauce, and Beef Patty. I could go on for awhile, some take some manipulating to make taste good (got to know how to mix em).

Have you tried scrambled eggs and ham (at least they call it ham). Or lima beans?

Only scrambled eggs and ham I had were in T-rats, only ate the eggs and ham once in boot, spent the rest of the morning heaving. Stayed safe just by eating grits from there on out. Some of the older MRE's I had when I first got in tasted like trash, but they got better as time went on. Here is a decent url with all the changes in the menu's http://www.mreinfo.com/mre-menus.html

I remember the bown bag MREs... like 4 different meals across a box of 12... and then came the tan bag MREs with more variety per box.

Sadly I was only able to snatch a few boxes of the brown bag MREs for storage.
