Or making you kneel in the corner on your hands, begging for forgiveness. Seems to me the reciepiants of such fun fodder for the nuns, turned out just ok. I say bring back the fear of God, or as I remember calling her, little Sister Mary. ![]()

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | Those nuns! How many times was I made to take my gum out of my mouth, draw the circle on the board in the front of the room, stick the gum in the center of the circle and stand with my nose touching the gum for the rest of the class?! How much of my makeup did Sister waste by sending me to wash my face when she caught me wearing lipstick, blusher, or God forbid, eyeshadow? How many times was I told to "offer it up" when I was cold/hot/thirsty/needing to use the bathroom or therwise "suffering"? Those nuns are what kids need today! It's why half of today's kids get caught doing the stupid stuff they do. Most of 'em cant lie worth a crap. Back in my day, getting caught by a nun meant punishment from them and my parents. Yeah, you did the stuff, but you made damn sure you didnt get caught. If you could lie to a nun and not get caught, you probably had a future in management or sales;kids these days tell such flimsy lies and hope not to get caught. What's this world coming to?

Rep Power: 7 ![]() | The nuns were a "character building" experience, but from the sound of things, you had your father for religious guidance, so you probably got your fair share. Actually, you might have lucked out. You only had your father. As a Catholic kid, I had the nuns to knock me around, then they called home and told my parents they had to do it, so then I got it a second time for inconveniencing the nuns. I got the double whammy. Quite literally.
