Sux to buy a car the manufactuer tested to 150 only find ou that the governed it to 133.

At least a personal car can be 'fixed' to get around that stuff.

To slow the F1 cars down they just keep limiting the wing sizes and therefore removing the downforce, this means they're very fast down the straights but have to be controlled properly through the corners. Also they keep tinkering with the tyre widths to ensure that cornering speeds are kept low! This years major tinker is the switch from 3.0-litre V10s to 2.4-litre V8s and the claim is for the costs to be lower but we as fans know it's all about reducing the speeds.

Sort of where I was going with the plate thing.

Plate racing forces the cars to bunch together into drafting groups, passing pretty much involves bump drafting or a group of cars forming a draft line to get around another group.

I can't imagine bump drafting will ever happen in F1.

Nah, me either, the wings disintegrate with the slightest contact and they wouldn't want to make them any more solid as that would add too much weight.
