MOORESVILLE, North Carolina (Ticker) - Dale Earnhardt Jr. will have the final 10 races to see what might have been.

On Wednesday, Dale Earnhardt Inc. announced its top driver will have Tony Eury Jr., who served on Earnhardt's team last year, as his crew chief for the remainder of the season and beyond.

Eury has spent 14 seasons with DEI, including eight working with Earnhardt prior to this year.

I'm kind of glad Jr didn't make the chase along with Jeff Gordon, now I don't have to worry about being bothered by the 'fans' of either one of those who never watch the races but come out in droves on Monday when they find out that either of them won over the weekend.

Looks like it might've done him some good... I think I saw him in the top 5 a couple of times yesterday.
