Carrie Bare Trying To Clear Her Name

GLENWOOD, Iowa -- Carrie Bare is a youth pastor and soon-to-be new wife, so she was surprised when her future mother-in-law talked to her about something she'd seen at a local gentleman's club.
A poster for the Glenwood, Iowa, Playhouse -- a "performing arts center" that features nude dancing -- shows Carrie Bare as a featured performer. The youth pastor by the same name knew nothing about the stripper using the same moniker until her fiancé’s mother spoke up.

"I came over after work, and his mom had seen it," youth pastor Carrie Bare said.
Mom-in-law to be had seen a poster for the performer. The stage name is spelled the same as Bare's, reported KETV in Omaha, Neb.
"That's how I spell my name. I live five miles from there. I've grown up in the community. People know me," Bare said.

The youth pastor is about to take a job as a preschool teacher. She called the Playhouse to see if anything could be done.
"Basically, they said there's nothing you can do about it. She has an agent from L.A. That's her stage name. She travels. Does her thing," Bare said.
So, Carrie Bare is trying a sense of humor, laughing with family members and getting a message ready for the other Carrie Bare.
"You got my name. I'll take the money," Bare said.
Carrie Bare, the stripper, has only made one appearance in Glenwood so far. Carrie Bare, the youth pastor, is hoping she doesn't return. She doesn't want people in her hometown wondering about what she does in her free time.
