This is a pic of the "red/blue" maps (Red=Bush votes, Blue=Kerry votes) , but this time, by county, not state, and having gradation to show JUST HOW CLOSE the race was in most counties.

Looks like no matter how ya slice it, we're just about even down the ol' party lines.....

Welcome to PURPLE America

Just how bipartisan are we? Just how CLOSE was the race?

Looks to me that there is a lot more red than blue.

Re: Police Use Taser Gun On 6-Year-Old At School

I would love to see a copy of that map superimposed on a similar map showing average educational level. Funny, but I bet that they would line up almost exactly.

Found a map. The darker the green the higher the percentage of people with a Bachelor's degree or higher. Unfortunately, the data is only at the state level. I will keep looking for one by county.
And yes, there does seem to be a very high degree of correlation between education level and the results of this last election.

The important thing to keep in mind with these maps is how populated certain areas are, looking at a pure Red/Blue map of California shows more Red but it's in all of the low populated areas where as the Blue sections hover in the cities.

Anyway who cares? 4 more years of W :P
