| Micheal Jackson was an amazing talent. I will not dismiss his "King of Pop" status. He did generate huge crowds. But he was pathetic. He got lost in his own aura. He may have been abused as a child (or whatever), but he subjected many children to the same fate. I don't know why this gets brushed under the carpet because he had the highest selling album of all time? People that are great in their profession do not necessarily lead great personal lives. He was a pedophile. Sure it was settled out of court. But was OJ innocent too? Give me a break! Nobody seems to speak for the children he abused. They haul in Jessy Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton to defend his legacy? Please. It is an exercise in political gain. Micheal Jackson does not deserve to be held in the same regard as other famous people that were extinguished before their time (i.e. Elvis). He was a forgotten man that nobody wanted to touch (literally) for the last 10 years. He was doing a comeback because he needed money to fund his extravagance. He was forced to sign for 50 dates (rather than 10) so others could exploit him. It is even sadder when I watch his "so called" close family go on national television capitalizing on his death. Shameful. I bet the Jacksons will perfom a "Tribute to Micheal" tour. The only Jackson that ever got it straight (and was outcast for it) was LaToya. I was touched by his young daughter. She was the only one that had true feelings. The others were hoping for a Grammy. Jackson was pathetic. I will grant that he was a great entertainer. It never will excuse his sins. He will now be judged by the ultimate court. |
