Rep Power: 0 ![]() | I have an Opt 61C rel 17.76 w/ meridian mail ver 8.0 The situation here is that the tape backup drive has gone out and because of this. We are unable to execute any load commands. We can connect and see that the terminal communicates. However, whenever we login and type any load all we get is: IOD101 02 OVL005 The tape drive replacement is on it's way but, I still would need to get into the PBX to disable the drive unit before I can replace it. Does anyone know how to backdoor into this? or force it to accept LD commands?? Last edited by dmedellin; December 7th, 2006 at 04:13 PM.

Do you have multi-user log in enabled? __________________ -=Welcome to PBXInfo=- -FREE HOW TO NORTEL& MORE Video's -Add yourself to Pbxinfo's Frappr -Find Nortel Software

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | The problem lies in that I cannot enable or disable anything because after logging in, anything typed in is ignored and i'm returned to the carriage prompt > No settings have changed nor has any hardware been added. In order to perform any functions I would have to be "in the system". Hence, my dilema, how do I force it to accept a LD when it doesn't acknowledge my input because of the damaged tape drive. Worse part is that I now have the replacement part but the PBX won't let me disable anything and repeats error IOD101 02 OVL005 > The following is an example of my results: IOD101 02 OVL005 >TTAD OVL013 >**** >LD 10 IOD101 02 OVL005 >PRT OVL013 > TIM0000 13:27 7/12/2006 CPU 1 LD 35 IOD101 02 OVL005 >STAT ENBL TRACK 1 DSBL >**** > DTC001 TIM0000 13:42 7/12/2006 CPU 1 DTC001 DTC001 OVL020 LD 37 IOD101 02 OVL005 > TIM0000 14:18 7/12/2006 CPU 1

Because the system can't access the tape and the loads you need probably are not cached you will not get in via tty.

Location: VA Rep Power: 4 ![]() | The problem with the processors with tape drives and the older software release is that the the Mainenance and Adminstrative Loads are actually stored on your tape drive. That there was not enough cache memory with those processors to support repetative commmands. I would say that that system is well past due for an upgrade.

Rep Power: 0 ![]() | informative, yet unhelpful in resolving problem. It is acknowledged that the system is due for an upgrade. And slated for next fiscal budget. *Update. Issue has been resolved, using maintenance phone vendor was able to restore PBX connection. Thank you all for your help and suggestions.
