The things operated pretty erratically: - Every other reboot took around 5 minutes as the thing sat there in the 'Initiating DHCP...' state. - Locking-up often while programming in the network configuration menu - One of them had the three red lights on all the time when operating Beyond those quirks the sets seemed to operate fairly normally. So naturally we hoped that an upgrade to the latest firmware might help these sets to behave better. Following the sage advice of the people here we got the sets up to the current rev of firmware, 2310S58. Now we have a more significant problem. The phones work perfectly in all resepecst except one highly significant one... the microphones no longer work. The phones can call and receive calls but you cannot talk to anyone with them; they are one-way sets. This is pretty bad considering that they are conference phones. The person on the other phone can speak and be heard on the the speaker but speaking to the i2033 is fruitless because you will never be heard on the other end; I even tried toggling mute on and off to no effect. Do not suggest programming HFA in the class of service because according to the Nortel documentation you program an i2033 as an i2001 which does not allow you program in HFA. Any and all suggestions would be welcome as the sets are now as good as useless. SD __________________ Life is far too important to be taken seriously! Install the patch prior to installing any IP Audio Conference Phone 2033. It is required on Releases prior to R4.5 to allow the phone to be configured into the proper class of service for Handsfree Allowed Mode (HFA). When configuring the Terminal Number (TN) associated with the IP Audio Conference Phone 2033, enable handsfree by entering HFA at the CLS prompt.

An MPLR can't be applied to a Branch Office can it? Is there an equivalent PEP? SD __________________ Life is far too important to be taken seriously!
