Unhappy Meridian Opt. 11 and Octel issues. Cant reply to message.

I have an Octel in Isreal off of a Meridan Opt. 11. We have an issues that we are unable to reply to messages from internal calls. (press 8 to reply).

These calls are from desk to desk and on forward no answer or hunt to voicemail situation. The PBX integration between the Octel and Nortel PBX is working as messages go to the right mailbox for the users. I have look over the programing for both the PBX and Octel and per Octels D- MID integration everything is correct.
What the users hear from the Octel when trying to reply to the message is
"Sorry, you can't use the system to reply to a non subscriber", but these calls are internal not external.

Has anyone ever had this issues or have any dieas on how to fix this??

Thanks in advance,
mike

Couth this be your issue??

The only time we receive this type of message is if someone internal accesses the VM system and presses * and enters a mailbox number to leave a message. When someone tries to respond to a message sent in this manner, the user will receive the message you describe. Users should send messages internally by accessing their own mailbox and then recording and sending the message via their mailbox. The system then identifies a legitimate mailbox and allows the user to reply. When a message is not sent via a mailbox then the VM system doesn't know what to do with the response, so that message is announced.
