Meridian and CallPilot data back up by Windows server possible?

Sorry for continous questions.
I've been posting many questions but please don't get angry... I really have no idea.. The manual is too big to read and I can't test at production environment.
We're using a back up tape drive directly attached to PBX.
There is a backup server running Backupexce on Windows server 2003. It is taking all servers and DB's data into DLT backup tape by scheduled task. We want to backup the PBX system data as well as CallPilot voice mail data via LAN to Windows server 2003.
There is ELAN connected to CallPilot. We can access the CallPilot server from CLAN so network is not a problem.
Is there such a function in CallPilot2.02? If CallPilot can dump voice mail record to a folder, I guess Windows2003 can take data via network.

Current system is as below.
Meridian 1 Option 11C
CallPilot 2.02
Succession rls 3.0
Advanced Call Center Service ISM
OTM server

Yes you can do a network backup, just map a drive tothe machine and you will need an account on the 2003 server that matches the callpilot account with backup rights.
You will have to add a backup device in callpilot under backup and restore.

Thanks PHONE_TECH

I appreciate your input. I now know that CallPilot has backup function via network. Our support vendor has never told me this. I gotta ask them to set up this.
once again, Thanks!!

You can backup to the network drives for your convenience, but I believe Nortel does not support this practice and will not assist you or your vendor if you needed to restore from the network backup... That is what I have been told, for what it is worth.

We do a regular tape backup on the CallPilot and have a scheduled one to a remote machine. Only as a secondary backup should the tapes fail us for some reason.

Thanks Mr. Papa.
Now I know that we can do.
Tape back up is good if the tape is sent off-site.
No one takes care of the tape so no choice. do net backup.

FYI

Network backups only take 1/2 the time as tape backups!!
