Position Description
Covenant Transport, Inc., a premier transportation company, seeks a Senior Telecommunications Administrator to maintain the corporate telephone system to ensure 100% utilization, including add and change orders, optimization and future planning.
Essential Job Functions

Monitors and maintains PBX, Voicemail, Call Center operation and provides on and offsite support for large user base.

Tests, installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs telecommunication equipment and initially performs business resumption efforts.

Determines appropriateness of service changes or modifications and fulfill move, add, or change requests.

Position involves vendor interaction and some account management for wireless, voice and data services.

Provides end user training of features and functionality.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Works under the supervision of the Telecommunication Engineer.



Key Knowledge and Experience

Associate degree or its equivalent.

2-5 years experience in the field or in a related area.

Possess basic knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures using din large-scale telecommunications environments including inside wiring and cabling standards.

Must have strong organizational skills and be able to communicate effectively.

Nortel 81C, BCM, Symposium, OTM, MerMail, MIRAN, MICA, VolP, Data Networking and PC Troubleshooting experience a plus.
