You are not kidding. We were missing package 185 and it was going to cost 1500 to get it. We passed.... Distrinctive ringer per DN key was not worth that much.

Ouch... try missing 286 (REM_IPE) the day before a tight cutover... one of our former 'engineers' felt that one all the way to unemployment line.

Better late than never...

Who in their right mind sends out their switch, filled with sensitive/expensive cards.. and the "doors" on them have springs (metal) and washers (metal), that can fly off .. INTO the switch, between cards, down 3 floors (ok 3 modules). Plastic has come so far in the last 180 years!

You know, I don't like digging old posts up but this one is a good one. You guys come up with some great stuff.

I just noticed on 4.5 that I when I print broken out NXX's I can list all of the NXX's in the range by just using the first 3 digits... great start.

make the 1140e shift button work on BCM50

sounds like a small thing, but in our office it would make a HUGE difference.

System Speed Dial

My first post so be gentle!

How about being able to apply CPND to speed dial list entries? Surely can't be beyond our Nortel friends.

There seems to be quite a range of skills in this forum, from new guys & girls to the wise oracles.

In all my years of PABX systems (28 and counting) if I was to offer any advice? - "Keep it simple then there's less to go wrong!"

I would like to have several improvements made:

1. Be able to modify the caller's CLID on incoming calls. This can be done in many PBXs such as Cisco, Ericsson, Matra but not in the Meridian. I've asked many times for this improvement which in Spain would very useful. This would also help in network Scenarios.
2. Increase the number of FRLs
3. The application gateway should be integrated in the SS, and provide for free the possibility to create XML for the phonesets.
