XAS development

We recently deployed a voip solution for an offsite customer which makes use of 1120e and 1140e phones. I noticed while setting up two of the test phones that they supported "XAS" (external application server). I have tried as I might to get any information I could on XAS development and deployment, but without any luck (a few NTPS/other Nortel pubs describing what XAS is, but nothing describing coding conventions or specific server requirements). Any info on development and deployment of XASs and applications would be appreciated.

Information on the protocol is available through the Nortel Developer Program (http://www.nortel.com/prd/dpp/index.html)

Unfortunately I don't have access to that section of Nortel's site.

My understanding is that this product is basically an OEM relationship between Nortel and Citrix (Through the Net6 aquisition). From what I've seen you do basic application development (similar to web) for a particular phone screen size. Here is the link to the product.
(URL would be here)

I think the application is called "Design Studio" If you have a valid Nortel login you should be able to access this document.

Sorry tried to post the link but Im not allowed with under 15 posts...

Anyway, search for Nortel Application Gateway 1000, once there click on technical documents, and you should be able to browse the product documents. Look for the Design Studio docs, and they explain the concept and the microbrowser functionality and compatability.
