I am trying to add two lines to the phone system at the church. I'm having a problem accessing Mem 4-14 or 4-15. I go off-line as instructed in the manual, press LK4+14 or 15 and I get no change or response. Is there a programming mode that I need to enter? I thought I was entering programming mode when I go off-line and press LK4+14 but apparently not. Any help as well as any suggestion to make this process as painless as possiable will be greaty appreciated.

To get into programming it is feature (or function depending on what style of phone you have) Hold #0* from station 100 or 101 after that it is line key 4-12 for key assignment and 4-01 for ringing. It sounds like you are using a electra professional level 1 manual. If so they are not even remotley close in programming values.

Which version manual do you feel I should have for a NEC Electra Elite 48. I thank you for your help.

there is a specific 48/192 programming manual but if you can't come by one of those then a electra professional Levle II programming manual is pretty close. Be sure you find the programming manual for either of those. The hardware or genreal description or any of the other half dozen manuals aren't going to do you any good as far as programming goes.

hope this helps.
