Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Hello, I have recently been given the responsibility of managing an NEC Electra Elite 192 PBX. I have experience with other PBX systems and also VOIP systems like Asterisk and SER, but very little experience with NEC PBX's. I have one immediate but seemingly trivial issue to solve. Perhaps someone can guide me on a solution. READY..... I need to change the Auto-attendant greeting to an alternate one for after-hours. What will I need to do this? It seems that the last admin must have trashed any software or manuals for this system. Also will I need an RS232 cable? Thanks in advance!!!!! Joshua Laroff

Location: Arkansas Rep Power: 4 ![]() | RE: Do you blog at work..You could get fired..? Its all dependent on what type of voice mail you have. If its one of the NEC or activoice voicemails, then you can either use a software called cosession 7.0 that connects to the serial port of the voice mail with a db9 cable or you can change it through the system administators box. Post what type of voice mail you are using and I can give a more detailed explanation.
