G'day folks, just discovered this website, it looks like a valuable tool.
I have an easy problem I hope.
We have what I believe to be an NEC NEAX7400 phone system here.
I have just disovered how to change my speed dial numbers, and after 8 months here, thats a major break through!
We don't have any manuals here for the phone, we have one but it's not for our model.
Anyway, the question I have is, for internal calls, we have caller ID setup to indivual names.
So if I call someone, on the phone I'm calling it says Bryce.
Thats the former person at this desk, does anyone know how to chance my caller ID so that it sayd Daryl, or what ever I want???
Any help would be great.

Hi Swanky ,

1) To change the name data type "ANDD" and give the extension number which you want to change the name.

2) To change the speed dial access type "ASPD" Tn: , ADC:_ _ _, CD:9_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _,(9= CO Line , PRI Access code) and followed the actual number which you want to dial .+ check any restriction given in the system data (ASYD-1 and index: ) .

That is correct if you have the large office system but not if you have the small office system. Which do you have? the easiest way to find out is How do you change your speed dial numbers? Alternately what does it say on the box?
