5.0A Update 2 field trial

Is there any way to disable the PC port on an IP Dterm. I have a customer that has a VOIP network and they are afraid that someone will just plug into the phone and start hacking into thier network. I was thinking TCP/UDP port blocking, or making access lists in the layer 2/3 devices. Any input is appreciated.

Comdial cuts jobs...

I had a customer that wanted the same thing. In the end they glued in those little protective caps that come on the handset to cover up the PC port. I guess it's warranty went out the window at that point.

RE: NEAX 2000 IPS & Fax Machines

So the customer isn't worried about the ethernet cable plugged into the phone, only the second port on the phone?
