hello - i work on a neax 2000 in conjunction with the nec openworks switchboard. if an extension is call forwarded to another number (cell), when the switchboard transfers a call to that extension, it just rings and rings and doesn't go anywhere. if the switchboard directly calls that extension, then it will go to the forwarded number. calling that extension directly from another extension will result in reaching the cell as well. it's only when it's an incoming call being transfered via the switchboard to that extension - any ideas as to whay this is happening? i'm working on an older version of the openwork, and i know there are a lot of bugs....i sure hope it's a simple oversight on my part?
thanks for the help!

call transfers

Hi Jonas;

I have had the same experience as you, where the console programme (add on to the switchboard) would not progress calls the same way as the PABX would.

I have been informed that the issue relates to certain messaging not being passed via the OAI data stream for the call, therefore, certain functionality can not be replicated on the console programme, as it is on the switch board.

Basically, there is a firmware/hardware upgrade that is required on the card to allow this to happen.

Unfortunately, i have not been in a position to get an upgrade to occur, and am not too sure even if there is one available at the moment.

Cheers.
